Unlike most dentists, Dr. Yang will approach your oral health by practicing complete dentistry, a concept he learned through his continued commitment to advanced education. With a strong emphasis on early detection and prevention, Dr. Yangis trained to identify signs of dental problems before symptoms and damage manifest.  In many cases, this will save you from experiencing costly, repeated treatments and can reduce your overall time in the dental chair.  He is also very sensitive to fears of dentistry and has many options to assist his patients with unneeded pain and anxiety. Over the years, patients have often commented about his gentle injection technique.  Dr. Yang insists on being available to his patients and as a result, he and his partner provide after hour consultation for dental emergencies.

After completing his general practice residency at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2004, Dr. Yang joined True North Dentistry and is now a partner in the practice. Dr. Yang particularly enjoys solving complex dental issues and resolving debilitating dental pain for his patients. To assist in these matters, Dr. Yang has spent countless hours furthering his education in endodontics (root canals), dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, TMD and complicated restorative cases (full mouth rehabilitation). He also continues to be a professor at Northern Arizona University (NAU) where he enjoys sharing his knowledge of dentistry and serving the greater student population. Dr. Yang spends countless hours each year volunteering his dental services to local charities, benefiting the local Flagstaff community.  Apart from his dental commitments, Dr. Yang enjoys spending time with his wife Dr. Felicia Bleecker-Yang and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Princess Petunia Crumpet. Dr. Yang is proud to announce the birth of his first child, Barron James, in the fall.
